This year’s competitive race features three courses for a half-marathon, and a 10K and 5K run/walk along Elachee’s hiking trails in the Chicopee Woods Nature Preserve.

Make it a family affair by entering your little ones in the Kids Fun Run. The Camp Elachee 2016 director is designing a course just right for these young legs!

About the Race

Trillium Trek Trail Run is an adventurous single- and double-track off-road running experience through the forest, across beautiful creeks and up/down steep to moderate hills. In fact, Seriousrunning.com ranks Chicopee’s trails as the best in Georgia, with a perfect 5-star rating.

A past participant had this to say about the Trillium Trek experience: “It was probably the toughest half marathon I’ve ever run. It was quite a challenge given I had ran a half dozen half marathons and that was my first trail half. Elachee is a beautiful place to run on a regular basis and to even do a race. I love the trails.”

Another racer shares, “You’re constantly on the trail. You don’t have to cross roads or worry about automobile traffic because you’re out in the woods the whole time.”

Runners will start at Elachee’s visitor center parking lot along Elachee Drive, then will soon find themselves immersed in Chicopee Woods, surrounded by towering trees, flowing creeks and nature’s other wonders. The terrain represents little bit of everything; rolling to steep hills, single-track, double-track, roots, rocks, bridges, stairs and even some sharp turns. Medals will be awarded to overall winners and three deep within each male/female age categories.
