Camp Elachee’s Pre-K Summer Day Camp is for children ages 3, 4, and 5 who are not entering kindergarten in the fall. All campers must be fully toilet trained.

Pre-K Summer Camp Overview

Camp Elachee 2017 offers nine weekly Pre-K camps, from May 30 to July 28, 2017.

Campers enjoy an age-appropriate condensed version of each week’s themed activities along with mini-hikes and visiting creeks, songs, creative play and movement, story time, crafts and special visits from Elachee staff.

Pre-K Camp Hours: Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to Noon (*extended hours for 4-day camps)

Before and After Camp Care: Extended care for youngest campers is a low-key, supervised extension of the camp day and a convenient option for working parents.

Pre-K Camp Fees: $140 per child, per camp week

  • Elachee members receive a $20 discount per child, per camp week.
  • Pre-registration is required. Spaces are filled on a first-come basis.
  • Extended Care Options:
    • Option 1: Early Arrival Care, from 8-9 a.m., $20 per child per camp week.
    • Option 2: Pre-K After Camp Care, from Noon-2 p.m., $50 per child per camp week. (Note time difference between Pre-K and other ages.)
    • Option 3: Before and After Camp Care, $60 per child per camp week.

Camp Elachee 2017: Pre-K Camp Weekly Themes 

May 30–June 2: Water Week

*Special 4-day camp, from 9 a.m.–1 p.m., dedicated to exploring Elachee's waterways and aquatic life, teaching campers about aquatic environment, water quality and water properties.

June 5–9: Elachee Pioneers

Experience the lifestyle and activities of North Georgia's historic peoples by playing games, learning traditional music and crafts.

June 12–16: Sense of Wonder

Develop your five senses through hands-on creative discovery in Chicopee Woods while learning how other species use their senses.

June 19–23: Elachee Explorers

Reveal your inner adventurer by learning about historical explorers’ journeys with treasure hunts, gem panning and other great exploration outdoor activities.

June 26–June 30: Wet and Wild

Join us for a week filled with water fun, including an International Mud Day celebration and infamous Elachee Water Olympics.

July 3, 5–7: Space Week*

*Special 4-day camp, from 9 a.m.–1 p.m. Venture into the Starlab planetarium and experience Elachee’s ‘cave’ while learning about the solar system and astronomy.

July 10–14: Creature Feature

Master your knowledge of animals and their habitats from across the world and your own backyard, with a special 'back in time' adventure to visit the dinosaurs.

July 17–21: Art Week

Express yourself through nature-based crafts, experimenting with various art mediums.

July 24–28: Camp Rewind
